Watches Under $5,000 You’ll Love

The holidays are over, so we can all now return to being financially responsible people, but that doesn’t mean you’ll have to skip your next watch purchase. There are plenty of great watches under $5,000, many of which can be found right here. We’ve gathered our three favorite models in the sub-$5,000 category to get you started down the right path.
The blue-dial Black Bay 58 was one of the hottest watches around when it debuted, making it nearly impossible to find one. Demand has cooled considerably, but the watch isn’t any less impressive than it was on its release date. The smaller 39mm size makes it a perfect timepiece for people without massive wrists, and the blue dial is a unique break from the black and white dial colors that are so common. The Black Bay 58 features a 70-hour power reserve, a water resistance rating of 200m/660 feet, and can be had on a wonderful fabric strap or comfortable steel bracelet.
The SLA039 is a limited-edition diver from Seiko with a short production run of just 1,100 units. It features a 300m/1,000ft water resistance rating, a rotating bezel, and an ultra-comfortable rubber strap. Seiko’s innovative single-piece case construction means there are no cracks or openings on the back for water to enter. The crown and bezel/dial are the only “open” spots on the watch case. The SLA039 also features a ceramic bezel, a 55-hour power reserve, and a striking blue dial.
Omega Speedmaster Professional
Many versions of the iconic Speedmaster cost far more than $5,000, but the standard watch is still quite affordable. The traditional hand-wind model is available on a great leather or fabric strap and offers all of the nostalgia and handsome vintage good looks as the models that accompanied astronauts into space. With a water resistance rating of just 167 feet it’s not the best for aquatic activities, but the Speedmaster is an easy-wearing watch at almost all other times. It features a 42mm case, a hand-wind movement with 50-hour power reserve, and a useful chronograph complication.
