Watches and Wonders yielded a ton of great new watches from some of the world’s most desirable brands. Rolex’s updates always make news, but Tudor’s new models are just as exciting. The brand unveiled several updated models, so let’s take a look at what came from the show.
Black Bay GMT
The Black Bay GMT was a solid addition to the Tudor lineup a few years ago and remains a great option today. To freshen it up, Tudor gave it a white dial for 2023, making it an eye-catching watch that pops under its domed crystal. The same impressive power reserve, travel-tracking GMT hand, and useful date complication are still here, just accented with a stunning white dial. The watch will remain on sale with different strap/bracelet options, and the red/blue bezel color hasn’t changed.
Black Bay
The venerably Black Bay got a new movement and new bracelet options for 2023. Though it’s only available with a maroon bezel, the watch can be had with a rubber strap, a multi-link bracelet, or a more traditional three-link bracelet. The 41mm case houses Tudor’s MT5602-U movement, which offers 70 hours of power reserve and a COSC certification, and it also enables a robust 200m/660ft water resistance rating.
Black Bay 54
Tudor went old school with the Black Bay 54, giving it a classic 37mm case size and no date window to clutter its brushed black dial. The smaller case carries Tudor’s MT5400 movement with 70 hours of power reserve and a COSC certification. A smaller crown, reshaped “snowflake” hands, and the domed sapphire crystal are all throwbacks to Tudor dive watches of the 1950s.
Black Bay 31/36/39/41
The dressier Black Bay models got new versions for 2023 that bring satin-brushed and polished cases with blue, anthracite, or light champagne-colored dials. Each case size has a different movement, but they all offer COSC certification and power reserves of between 50 and 70 hours.
