Check Out the New 2023 Rolex Models

Watches and Wonders 2023 is in full swing, and with it, Rolex is showing off its new models for the year. The company has several new models to display, but there are a few headlines we need to explore. Let’s take a look at the new 2023 Rolex models.

New 2023 Rolex Models

Cosmograph Daytona

We’ve reached the Daytona’s 60th anniversary, and to mark the occasion, Rolex has given the entire line an update. The watch got a new 4131 movement, which builds on the 4130 with a new escapement design and updated finishing. The updates also enable the watch to measure intervals of time with the chronograph function. Interestingly, the platinum model has a transparent case back to show off the new, decorated movement, and the rotor underneath comes in 18-carat yellow gold.

Yacht-Master 42

The Yacht-Master has long been known for offering a variety of precious metals and unique designs, but Rolex has something completely different for 2023. The watch is now available in titanium with a 42mm case size. It offers a satin finish, rather than the highly polished look of its predecessors, and it comes on an Oyster bracelet. Unlike Rolex’s dedicated dive watches, the Yacht-Master’s bezel rotates in both directions and features a matte black ceramic insert.

Explorer 40

After taking the Explorer in a vintage direction with a classic 39mm model a couple of years ago, Rolex has reintroduced the watch with a 40mm case for 2023. It features the same classic style, but the watch gets a 3230 movement, just like the new Air-King from 2022. The three, six, and nine hour markers are set in numbers instead of rectangle indices, and all markers are illuminated with blue Chromalight.

Other 2023 Updates

GMT-Master II

Rolex updated the GMT-Master line with two new finishes, including the return of the 19-carat yellow gold case. One new model comes with a two-tone steel and gold case, while the other is solid gold.

Perpetual 1908

The vintage Perpetual 1908 harkens back to Rolex’s early days and features a gold case with a leather strap. The simple, attractive two-hand dial features a small seconds dial at six o’clock and an attractive old-school design.

Sky-Dweller

The iconic traveler’s watch gets a new 18-carat white gold version on an Oysterflex bracelet. There’s also a new mint green dial version, and a variant with a rose gold case and green dial.

Day-Date

New 36mm Day-Date models are available, each with unique finishes and crazy dial designs. One features a unique, super-colorful puzzle dial, and the other features a rose gold case with a green dial. Another features a carnelian dial, an orange stone, and the last has a turquoise textured dial.

Oyster Perpetual

Rolex introduced a range of popular dial colors for the watch in 2020, and for 2023 the company is combining all of them into a busy dotted design for 2023.
