The Tudor Pelagos FXD is a Unique Dive Watch

01 TUDOR 2021 S36 0640

The Tudor Pelagos is one of the best divers around that offers a compelling alternative to mainstays like the Rolex Submariner and Omega Seamaster. The watch features lightweight titanium, two dial colors, and a unique bracelet with a spring-loaded clasp. Now, Tudor’s offering a new take on the Pelagos with the FXD, a clean dive watch without a date complication or the need for complicated strap changes.

The FXD features a water resistance rating of 200m or 660 feet and a 42mm titanium case. Unlike nearly every other watch on the market, the diver gets fixed bracelet bars that allow the strap to be fed through, rather than removing a spring bar to install a new strap. As with other Pelagos models, the FXD features a steel case back for durability and security under water.

Tudor’s manufacture caliber MT5602 is under the hood. The COSC certified movement features a bidirectional rotor system and a power reserve of 70 hours. The bidirectional rotating titanium bezel features illumination and a ceramic inlay for years of fade-free performance. The overall look is nearly identical to the standard Pelagos, with the exception of the fact that there is no date window. The fixed bracelet bars aren’t visible under straps when they’re installed, and the FXD’s case is nearly identical in appearance otherwise.

The Pelagos FXD comes on a navy-blue fabric strap with an accent stripe and titanium buckes. Tudor includes a blue rubber strap with a titanium buckle and a diving extension piece at no extra charge.
