New Tudor Watches for 2021 Truly Impress With Color and Creativity

Tudor occupies an enviable spot in the watch world. It has the backing and prestige that come from being a Rolex family member, but unlike its parent company, Tudor has the ability to show off more inventive colors and designs. That freedom is on full display in the brand’s recently announced 2021 watch releases. Where Rolex’s updates for the new year were subtle, Tudor burst out of the gate with a handful of exciting new watches with bold colors and interesting cases.

Black Bay Chrono

The Black Bay Chrono was already a thing and was already offered with a few interesting variations, but these two new models are something else. Both feature a black aluminum bezel with tachymeter, and both carry sporty styling with panda sub-dials and splashes of red in all the right places. The movement here is still the same as before, but that’s a great thing. The MT5813 is actually a Breitling movement and features a 70-hour power reserve.

Black Bay Fifty-Eight

Tudor’s smaller Black Bay gets a couple of new material and color options for 2021, both of which add interesting variety to the 39mm watch line. The first is a yellow gold case with a vibrant green dial, which comes on an alligator leather strap. It’s a stunning timepiece, and the precious metal works well on the smaller case size. The second watch in the Fifty-Eight line features a new taupe dial over a silver case. It retains a water resistance of 660 feet, despite its precious metal construction, and the use of silver makes the taupe color pop. Making things even more interesting, the new Fifty-Eight models feature a display caseback to show off Tudor’s in-house movement.

1926

If simplicity is your thing, then the Tudor 1926 is where it’s at. The watch is available in either 28mm or 41mm case sizes, and features an interesting textured dial with applied indices. The 1926 features a self-winding T601 movement that has a 38-hour power reserve, and the case itself manages a 100m (330ft) water resistance rating. If you’re shopping for a 1926, you’ve got a few options in bracelet and index colors, but the best choices here are the simplest ones.
