There’s an Omega Seamaster for Everyone

It’d be impossible to say that the Omega Seamaster is an underdog in the world of dive watches, but it’s certainly not as exclusive or desirable as a Rolex Submariner. That said, there are plenty of great reasons to shop for a Seamaster, not the least of which is the huge degree of variety available in the model line. Let’s take a look at a few of the watch’s variations.

Don’t want a date complication? Omega’s got you covered there, too. The Seamaster has been offered without the feature in various models over the years. Notably, the recent ‘007 Edition Seamaster comes in titanium and features a unique vintage-style dial without a date. It’s also available on a gorgeous titanium mesh bracelet that gives it an awesome classic dive watch look.

If you’re looking for a more complex dive watch, Omega offers Seamaster chronograph models as well. In the newest variants, the watches feature two subdials and a date complication at 6 o’clock. There’s not much else to differentiate the models from standard Seamasters, other than the thickness and additional pushers for chronograph control.

Finally, we can’t end the article without talking about the Seamaster Aqua Terra. The model line effortlessly blends the dive watch and dress watch worlds. The timepieces are rugged and beefy enough to withstand abuse, but delicate and elegant enough to be worn in situations where a full-on dive watch might feel inappropriate.

The Aqua Terra also offers some of the most impressive complications in the Omega catalog today, such as the Worldtimer GMT. The watch features a stunning dial with the ability to track multiple timezones, and a gorgeous top-down globe applied right in the middle. On top of that, Omega gave it a solid water resistance rating of 150m/500ft, so it’s an upscale watch with real durability in the real world.
